| Crossroads Resource Conservation & Development Council
LEAD program
In August 2008 the CCF granted $2500 to the Crossroads Resource Conservation & Development Council for the implementation of the Carroll, Harrison, Jefferson & Tuscarawas Agricultural LEAD program. LEAD stands for Leadership, Education and Development. This program is working to cultivate leaders in the four-county area iwth a focus on agriculture and natural resource industry.
The Carroll County branch of the YMCA of Central Stark was granted $10,000 for facility renovation. The renovations will allow the YMCA to add a wellness component including a cardio room, weight room, childwatch and yoga/pilate areas. The number of programs offered by the YMCA will also be increased.
Demolition was started in
November 2008.
The Malvern Community
Development Fund was
granted $1200 in August
for the installation of a
treated wood ramp at
the entrance to the Malvern Village Hall. This ramp will provide
access to the hall for the elderly and handicapped resident of
Malvern. This project is scheduled to be completed in the spring
of 2009. |
